Make Your Christmas Party Jolly: Hire An Events Coordinator

The annual holiday Christmas party is a big deal whether you are hosting family and friends, or if it is a work gathering. A successful holiday work party can boost morale, increase production, and encourage longevity. You should consider hiring a special events coordinator to help make your party a hit.

Save Yourself Some Leg-work

You don't have time to plan a party while you are at work, because you need to be working. Hiring someone else to do the party planning allows your employees to stay on task. The events coordinator and spend the time scouting for the perfect venue, planning the menu and ordering supplies. Naturally you will want someone at the office to work with your coordinator, but let the coordinator do all the legwork.

You can also have the events coordinator create nametags, seating cards and any gift bags or prizes that you may have at the event.

Create the Perfect Dance Mix

Holiday parties can be a lot of fun when there is music and dancing. Ask your events coordinator to come up with the music that will be playing. The coordinator can either create a playlist to put in a sound system, or he could hire a deejay.

Most work parties include spouses or significant others, however, you should not have a lot of slow dancing music. One in ten songs could be for slow dancing, but it is better to keep the music and the mood upbeat and positive.

Include some holiday songs in your playlist such as "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Jingle Bell Rock", and "Baby It's Cold Outside". Adding some fun/silly dance songs such as "Y.M.C.A", "Chicken Dance", and "Gangham Style" will get people dancing on the floor to the same moves.

Recent hits are also fun to include in your dance mix such as "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus, "Happy" by Pharrell, "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift and "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Enjoy the Party

The final reason to hire a coordinator for your work party is so that you can enjoy the festivities with your coworkers. If you hire someone else to be in charge then they get to worry about getting the food out on time and make sure that the speaker system is set up correctly. You will get to just have fun and not have to worry about being the boss all the time.
